THE FUTURE OF VIRTUAL EVENTS

Virtual events are being used even before pandemic, but it boosted when covid 19 spread worldwide. There are different platform that is being used to do virtual events such as zoom, google meet, microsoft teams and more. That is why a lot of innovation has been introduced to the public to make the virtual events and meeting a little more exciting than the traditional one. Virbela is one of it.

  1. I love Virbela! I remember when we did our EVNT 703 Final Paper and we went through the whole campus. Virbela definitely did a great job in incorporating virtual events and entertainment. It is a way to adapt in virtual events and make it exciting at the same time.

Being exposed in virtual events for the past years, this is a breath of fresh air. However, I can say that there are still a lot of things that could be improved. For instance, it would be nice to allow companies and organization to create and design their own campus to personalize the space for their event. I thought it would be more interesting and exciting for both event attendees and hosting company.

Nonetheless, this is an amazing platform to create a comfortable digital space. It allows people to be more involved instead of them passively listening to the usual zoom events.

Looking forward to using it again!

  2. Hi Hazel, this blog is so visually appealing! and I also agree with Krizza, up until now, I still find Virbela and other 3D online platforms, fascinating especially when we were able to experience and had a glimpse of this platform ourselves last semester.

The idea itself of creating this online platform is beyond amazing and smart! Being able to have a space where people can socialize virtually with more chances of a person-to-person engagement using 3D avatars to represent them without actually being there physically makes it a very exciting experience.

I personally love the 3D avatar's action features where we can cheer and dance, it was really fun!

I agree with Employers and academics may broaden their services and career opportunities to any country in the world through Verbela. The concept of building an online platform is incredible and brilliant! It's a really exciting experience to be able to have a space where people can socialize digitally with better possibilities of a person-to-person engagement utilizing 3D avatars to represent them without actually being there physically. However, this is a wonderful platform for creating a welcoming digital environment.

  4. Hi Hazel, I want to start this off by writing that I love the aesthetics of your blog. It’s very calm and pleasing as anyone lands on to the blog page. However, getting into the blog itself. I loved the topic you choose. I think platform like Virbela is really interesting especially more than ever, as people are looking forward to more and more virtual events. I think organizing a virtual event is really crucial and to learn how to manage it is a skill in itself. I really liked how mentioned about all their features available. However, one new thing I learnt from your blog platforms like Virbela can be used for organizing a lecture which can actually invoke the feeling of a classroom.

I believe that organising a virtual event is extremely important, and learning how to manage one is a skill in and of itself. I liked how they mentioned all of their available features. However, one new thing I learned from your blog is that platforms like Virbela can be used to organise a lecture that has the feel of a classroom.. The idea of creating an online platform is fantastic and brilliant! It feels enthralling however i feel like your blog lacks the readability because of the different sizing.

  6. It is rather astonishing how the pandemic turned the event world on its head. Without doubt, virtual platforms saved many businesses from going bankrupt. Virbela one of those life-saver platforms. When I was introduced to this platform last year, I was surprised how fun and interesting it might be. But I would argue on continued use of these platforms once everything goes back to normal. I'm a firm believer that nothing can 100% replace human interaction. Of course, it is very thoughtful of event organizers to plan a hybrid event because not everybody might be available. In this scenario I support the leverage of virtual platforms such as Virbela 100 %. However, we also observe innovations such as Metaverse. In my opinion, these platforms are rather harmful than helpful to the society. People start to leave in fake worlds and recede from reality. It might be detrimental for future generations. So I personally think, as aspiring event organizers we should encourage the planning of in-person events and use platforms such as Virbela only when necessary. Thank you.
